Connections Between Caregivers & Clients
“THE BEST KIND OF CARE HAPPENS WHEN THERE IS GENUINE TRUST AND LOVE SHARED BETWEEN CLIENT AND CAREGIVER.”
The best kind of care happens when there is genuine trust and love shared between the client and caregiver. Once a client has bonded with a caregiver and trusts them with the most intimate activities of daily living, it’s no longer just caregiving, it’s a companionship. To be a caregiver, you have to have a love for people and a genuine response to the condition of the elderly. We strive to foster relationships and build strong bonds with each family because we know that allows us to provide the best kind of care.
When it comes to matching caregivers with clients, compatibility is just one of the many factors that we look at. First, we consider individual skill sets. For example, if we have a hard transfer patient who doesn’t ambulate well, needs to use a wheelchair and walker, needs transportation, and requires medication reminders, we need to pair them with a caregiver who can meet all of those specific needs. Using this data, we can then narrow down the field of choices.
From the remaining selection, we then look at likes and dislikes, location, and demographics to find the most compatible match. We always let our families know that if they are not satisfied with the match, we will go back through the matchmaking process and try again until we find a more compatible caregiver.
With this process of pairing clients and caregivers together, we have shared and cherished long-lasting relationships that have spanned many years. These precious bonds are a huge part of what we do and how we continue to bring your loved ones the best care possible.
